Sunset Rare & Reserve Wine Tasting

The elegant Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel will host our "Sunset Rare & Reserve" Wine Tasting on April 29, 2011 in their magnificent Grand Ballroom. The hotel overlooks the Pacific high on a bluff and is the epitome of California luxury and style.  The luxury of the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is a perfect partner to the rare and reserve level bottles winemakers will dust off and pour at this popular event. Some wines being poured are no longer in distribution; some are proprietor's reserves and end-of-vintage wines. A champagne reception greets guests who may be treated to Napa trophy cabs, rare bottles from Sonoma, Santa Cruz and Sierra Mtn. areas, the red-hot Central  Coast, and Pinots from Santa Barbara County and more. Top regional chefs will serve hot and cold appetizers while live bluesy jazz keeps things super cool. Tickets on sale November 2010.

Sip hundreds of vintage California wines, sample dozens of hot and cold gourmet appetizers, artisan breads and cheeses, fresh cut fruits, and for a change of taste, sample local and regional craft brews too.

The DSBIA is a group of dedicated volunteers sanctioned by the California State Parks in 1982 to develop and/or support interpretive activities and programs at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California.

A portion of the net proceeds is donated to the DSBIA.

This is the “Biggest Wine Festival Under the Sun” in Santa Barbara! A spectacular gathering of over 200 of California's finest wines from every wine region in
the state – showcasing a total of over 350 fine wines at our sunny beach front location. Over 2,500 wine fans will grab their glass and start swirling and sipping just a frisbee throw away from the sparkling Pacific, while live music on stage keeps the party going.

 

Benefiting:

The mission of the Foodbank is to provide nourishment to those in need by acquiring and distributing safe nutritious foods via local agencies and providing education to solve hunger and nutrition problems in Santa Barbara County. During 2009, the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County distributed 9.2 million pounds of food from two warehouse locations in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.
